At Bawaqar Zindagi, we believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive community where mental health is prioritized. Our Mental Health Baithak: Celebrating Wellness Together program was a remarkable initiative aimed at raising awareness, breaking stigmas, and empowering individuals through education and dialogue.

About the Event

Mental Health Baithak was a community centered event designed to promote mental well being and resilience. Through engaging activities, expert insights, and creative expressions, we created an environment where individuals and families could openly discuss mental health without fear of
judgment.

Event Activities & Impact

The event featured a range of engaging activities, including:

Expert Talk: Professor Dr. Qudsia Tariq delivered an insightful keynote address on mental health and well being.
Workshops & Discussions: Interactive sessions focused on coping mechanisms and mental wellness strategies.
Script Plays: Two impactful plays, The Shadows of Unseen and Just Acting, were performed by interns from the Social Work Department, University of Karachi . These performances highlighted the struggles of individuals dealing with mental health issues and emphasized the importance of societal support.
Mandala Activity: A creative and therapeutic mandala making session was conducted to promote
mindfulness and self expression.
Meditation: A guided meditation session helped participants relax and connect with their inner peace.
Community Engagement: Attendees actively participated in open discussions, sharing personal
experiences and learning from professionals.

This initiative was enriched by the participation of students and interns from the Social Work
Department, University of Karachi , who played a crucial role in making the event successful through their compelling script performances. Additionally, Ra’ana Liaquat Craftsmen Colony, as a key partner of Bawaqar Zindagi, played an instrumental role in the event’s organization and execution.
